SMOKESTOP™ FILTER

Made of coconut shell charcoal*, these activated carbon granules will remove gaseous pollutants which are not particles but molecular substances dissolved into the air. These include cigarette and cigar smoke or other VOCs (volatile organic compounds), including household paints and other chemicals. Granules, rather than compressed sheet carbon, offer much greater surface area and therefore more effective adsorbption levels of dissolved pollutants.

*NOTE: The activated carbon typically used by Blueair before impregnation) is a coconut shell material with an activity level of 60% or more when tested with carbon tetrachloride.

You may notice a slight odor from the enhanced active carbon when the filter is first used; this will quickly dissipate.
