What is Adsorption?

Molecules and atoms can attach themselves onto surfaces by adsorption.  In chemisorption (chemical adsorption), these chemical molecules and atoms stick to the filter media by the formation of a chemical bond. In chemisorption compatibility of the chemical molecules and atoms with the filter media is an important issue – this is the reason why IQ Air Multigas filters use CHEMISORBER, a scientific blend of carbon and alumina impregnated with permanganate – to allow the widest possible chemical removal.

HOW IT WORKS

  

1. Micro- and nano-particle filtration

    Eliminates micro- and nano-particles such as     allergens, smoke, bacteria and viruses.

2. Cartridge-based activated carbon adsorption

    Eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which     are responsible for odours. 

3. Cartridge-based chemisorption

    Destroys harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde,     by an oxidation process inside a chemically active     alumina pellet.

4. Micro-charged filtration

    Eliminates fine dust and particles through a charged     fibre structure
