DPF 200 carbon imageThe Blueair DPF filter is the ideal choice for allergy sufferers and other health-conscious individuals that need high-efficiency particle removal together with gas and odor reduction. The carbon section of this filter is a honeycomb-type structure that improves airflow and has thousands of odor and gas absorbing carbon pellets. Every "Smokestop" filter contains coconut shell activated carbon impregnated with a 70/30 blend of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and Potassium Iodide (KI). This special carbon eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOC), which are responsible for many and various odours.

Made of coconut shell charcoal*, these activated carbon granules will remove gaseous pollutants which are actually not particles but rather substances dissolved into the air. These include cigarette and cigar smoke or other VOCs (volatile organic compounds), including household paints and other chemicals. Granules, rather than compressed sheet carbon, offer much greater surface area and therefore more effective adsorption levels of dissolved pollutants.

For maximum clean air, choose Blueair DPF filters - specially designed to remove both odours, road fumes, smoke, offgassing, chemical residues, VOCs etc. as well as pollens, bacteria, pet dander, mould spores and other airborne particles.

DISPOSAL: Used filters can be placed in regular rubbish disposal and will decompose, converting into harmless carbon dioxide and water.

EASY REPLACEMENT: when the filter needs to be replaced (typically every 6 months if operating 24/7, 12 months operating 12/7), simply open the unit, lift out the old filters and slide in the new ones. No screws, hooks or tools and less than one minute is required. Blueair filters require no weekly additives or filter washing. Regularly replacing the Blueair filters according is critical to ensuring that Blueair air purifying systems keep performing as they should.
